If two WT lawyers knocked on your door with a laptop and a contract in their hands and would transfer 30 million dollars to the bank of your choice right then and there, and you could verify it, would you sell? Only 10 minutes to decide, no time to warn anybody.

The late 80s early 90s and forward changed everything. The JWs today never had to contend with 1975. The internet has pulled the drawers off the WT and everyone can see that it’s not as Big and Mighty as it claims to be.
No one with just a little bit of common sense and curiosity will place all his bets on the WT. There are very few WT zealots left and in 20 years they will all be gone. They can’t pull out another 1975 and 1914 just keeps getting older. The WT is becoming more Mainstream with certain days being real special. Churches have Christmas, Lent, Easter, and the WT will have Memorial day, one day regional convention and special broadcast day.
I am real curious what the WT will look like in 5 years.

Wow, I grew up with the girl arguing with her husband and a bottle of liquor on the table.
About 40 years ago we pioneered together until finally she found a husband and they both went to Bethel. As far as I know they never had any kids. If they are still in Bethel they are in their 60s. They were Hard-core jdubs.

Please help me figure out my dreams
by Socrateswannabe inhi everyone, this may be the stupidest post ever.
i am stumped for an answer and would love to hear your opinions, though.
every week or two for the last couple of years, i have a dream--or at least that's what i'm calling it--that consists of me waking up or thinking that i've waked up, and seeing the ceiling of my darkened bedroom filled with algebraic equations.

Man I have no idea. The only dream I continue to have over and over is me and three girls, one brunette and two blondes. The brunette does her usual stuff when all of sudden the two blondes......
never mind, I don't want to get off the original subject.

BART EHRMAN answers my question
by TerryWalstrom inas a member on bart ehrman's blog, i am able to ask him direct questions.is jehovah in the bible?.
question:.
how firmly grounded in reality is the claim of jehovahs witnesses that the divine name (jehovah) belongs in the new testament?.

Do these authors actually say what the evidence *is*?
From what I can remember, the WTS has never admitted that there is any historical written evidence available that the NT authors used the Hebrew letters for the tetragrammaton. Because it was removed in the 3rd century by apostates guided by the devil.
They said it was “Assumed” that the NT writers used the divine name. Reason being that
1st God’s Son would not be bound by man-made superstitions and
2nd Their love and respect for the Divine name would compel them use the name freely.

So it just dawn on me that for some 45 years I was praying to a made up Name. No different than praying to Mickey Mouse or Scooby-Doo.
There is no way any of my JW relatives will buy this. If I even suggested any of this information, they would reenact the scripture in Mark and have me institutionalize.
Mark 3:21 But when his relatives heard about it, they went out to lay hold of him, for they were saying: “He has gone out of his mind.

IDENTITY and Fairies; The Salem Witch Trials and JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES
by TerryWalstrom intwo ball bearings manufactured at the same time, in the same factory, by rigorous engineering standards, and produced to serve the same function inside a particular machine.. question: are they identical?.
answer: no.
there is one on your left and there is one on your right.. these do not occupy the same space.. you can remove one and the other will not follow.. _________________.

Jehovah's Witnesses are "not even wrong" and here is why.
by TerryWalstrom ina magician can demonstrate an empty hat from which, seconds later, he pulls a rabbit.
a rabbit in that empty hat?
in pre-enlightenment times, the easy answer was: magic was real--but--it was accomplished.

Hey Terry,
I’m new here and as I’ve been looking at some of the past postings on different subjects. I noticed some of your posts and got hooked. I really enjoy your writing. When I start reading some of your stories or ideas, it’s like you take me to places I’ve never been before and leave me there and I have to find my way back all by myself.
Now when I pick up a Watchtower magazine and skim through it, it’s like picking up a kindergarten book that reads, “Run Spot Run"
And to think we were told that four years of reading the Watchtower was the same as getting a four year University degree, and eight years of reading was the same as getting a PhD.
Keep up the good work, look forward to you next post.
